FOR BUYERS

Finding the right business is hard work.We do it for you.

We search the UK healthcare sector on your behalf, approach the owners directly, and run the deal through to completion.

Most buyers do not fail because they cannot fund a deal. They fail because they lack the time and the expertise to run a proper search.

Searching properly means knowing who owns what, spotting the businesses where an owner is starting to think about stepping back, and making contact before anybody else does. Done well it is somebody’s whole week, every week. Done in the evenings around a day job it produces a thin list and a lot of dead ends.

That is the service we built. You set the brief, we do the finding and the first approaches from our own picture of the whole healthcare market, and you spend your time only on the businesses genuinely worth it. Done for you, by people who work in this sector every day.

What we actually do for you

The whole search, handled.

01

We build the list

From your brief, using our own data on the sector, not from whatever happens to be advertised this month.

02

We make the approaches

Contact comes from us rather than from you, which changes both how it lands and how much of your week it takes.

03

We qualify before you meet

You see businesses that fit and are willing to talk, not everything that technically matches a filter.

04

We run the deal

Valuation, offer, structure, the checking process and completion, with the same partner throughout.

“We are a small firm with institutional machinery behind it. Our own data, automation built in-house, and systems that let a handful of people run searches that would normally take a research team.”

Why us

Three reasons buyers choose us.

01

We only do healthcare

We know what these businesses are actually worth, where the risks hide, and which regulatory questions will decide whether a deal is fundable. A generalist learns that on your deal. We already know it.

02

Lean firm, institutional firepower

We built the machinery a big firm would have, then kept the firm small. Our own data on every registered healthcare business and the people who own them, automation running the repetitive work, and AI-native systems built in-house. Your search runs with the reach of an institution and the attention of a partner.

03

A partner relationship

Buying a business takes months, and for much of it you are making decisions you have not made before. The partner running your search is the person you call when you are unsure, at whatever hour you are unsure, and they will know your brief well enough for the answer to be useful. We take on a small number of buyers at a time.

Our data

The most detailed picture of the UK healthcare market anywhere.

Our own cross-section of the entire sector: every registered business, the people who actually own them, and in most cases how to reach them. This is the institutional machinery behind your search. We take the whole market, narrow it to your brief, and reach the owner directly, whether or not their business was ever for sale.

The process

What happens whenyou buy.

You set the brief, we do the finding and the first approaches, and the same partner runs the deal from the shortlist through to the day it completes.

Sector, size, region, how much of the operation you want to inherit, and what you are prepared to pay. We push on the brief because a vague one produces a vague list.

We also check the funding position early, since the businesses you can actually buy is a smaller set than the businesses you would like to buy.

Our systems narrow the whole market to the businesses matching your brief, identify who actually controls each one, and watch for the signals that suggest an owner might be ready to talk. The automation does the sweeping so the partner’s time goes on judgement.

You get a shortlist every fortnight with the reasoning attached, so you can tighten the brief as you go.

Approaches go out from us, not from you, which changes how they land. Owners who ignore mailshots will often take a direct, well-informed call from someone who clearly knows their sector.

You hear about the ones who are interested. We absorb the ones who are not.

Trading, regulatory history, staffing, owner dependency, and where the risks actually sit. We value it on your assumptions rather than the seller’s.

Plenty of businesses fail this stage. Finding that out now is the cheapest it will ever be.

We handle the offer and the structure, then coordinate the checking process while your solicitors do their part. Deals slip in this phase more than any other, so it needs managing rather than watching.

We can also stay on after completion, because most acquisitions underperform in the first year when the plan stops at signing.

Who we work with

Four kinds of buyer, one way of working.

01

Owners scaling up

You already run something in the sector and want to grow by buying rather than building.

02

First-time buyers

Leaving a career to buy and run a business, usually with funding to arrange alongside the search.

03

Family offices

Looking for their own deal flow in healthcare rather than what is being circulated.

04

Investor-backed platforms

Building a group and needing a steady pipeline of targets that fit a specific shape.

What happens next.

Tell us what you are trying to buy. The next step is a call with one of the partners, and nothing needs preparing before it.

On that call, a partner will

  • An honest view of whether we can find it
  • Roughly how long the search is likely to take
  • What the realistic price range looks like
  • How a typical engagement works
  • An indication of what it costs

Nothing to prepare and nothing to commit to.

Your questions

Common questions from buyers.

We hold our own enriched data on every registered healthcare business in the UK and the people who own them. Our systems narrow that to your brief, identify who actually controls each business, and we approach them directly. Some have thought about selling and some have not, which is exactly why there is no competition for the good ones.

A fortnightly list of businesses matching your brief, with the reasoning for each one, the ownership position, and where we have got to with any approach. You tighten the brief as you go.

No. Approaches come from us, which is both more effective and less awkward. You hear about the owners who want to talk.

We are not lenders and we do not give financial advice, but we work with the banks and funders active in healthcare every week and we will tell you early whether a deal is likely to be fundable. Getting that wrong late is expensive.

We can stay on. Most acquisitions underperform in the months after signing, when the plan tends to stop. Integration planning and operational discipline are where the value you modelled either arrives or does not.

We work on a retainer while the search runs, with a success fee on completion, agreed in writing before anything starts. The detail is best covered on a call with a partner, who can give you an indication of costings for your brief.
